Commissions: terms of service

NOTE: This TOS may be subjected to change at any time without notice.

copyright/usage policy

As the artist, I have every right to the work, not the commissioner. I am currently not open for commercial work.

I have The Right To:

  • Decline any commission without explanation

  • Promote myself with it in any place/site

  • Publish/print books with

  • Post the commission onto my social media and use it for my portfolio

The Commissioner Is Allowed To:

  • Use the work for personal use only (ex. printing the art for yourself)

  • Claim right of their character(s) but not the drawing itself

  • Use the art to promote themselves with proper credit to the artist (ex. tag/mention me on social media, etc.)

The Commissioner Cannot:

  • Use my artwork for any commercial use and/or nefarious reasons (art books, feeding to AI art programs or related, merchandise, cryptocurrency, NFTs, advertisements, etc.)

  • Edit, modify, or trace my work in any way

  • Edit, remove, modify, or crop my signature in any way

  • Claim/taking credit for the creation of the work

  • Repost my work without sourcing me (linking to my profile), ask for permission from me if you wish to repost the work

Information Concerning AI-Generated Images & Related:

  • The commissioner cannot integrate or use my work in any stage of completion (ex. sketch, coloured, rendered, etc) into a generative AI "art" program

  • Doing so will result in a blacklisting of your contact(s). I do not support AI-generated work in any shape or form.

Cropping/resizing the image for an icon/profile picture is allowed. Using it as a profile picture does not have to be (but much appreciated!) linked/credited to me.

payment & process

The commission must be paid in full upfront, (via Ko-Fi, Stripe, or E-Transfer in Canada) accepted currency is USD.

You must pay within 24 hours after a sketch is shown. No payment within 24 hours will result in cancelling the commission (some exceptions will be case-to-case. For example, I can allow 48 hours for the transaction).
It is the responsibility of the commissioner to notify me when payment has been sent. Failure of notifying me of the payment within 24-48 hours (and I know that I have not received it) will also cancel the commission.

  • An initial sketch will be sent to the commissioner to confirm they are satisfied with it

  • Once the sketch + base colours are approved, no major edits/changes will be accepted

  • There will not be more progress shown unless the commissioner themself requests it, or when I deem necessary (ex. I need clarification concerning the work)

  • Progress will begin once payment is confirmed

  • The commissioner will be sent a link to a progress tracker spreadsheet

  • Time required to finish the commission can take up to 6 months depending on many factors such as: health, order of commission, complexity of commission, school, family issues, etc.

You will be notified ASAP if any of the above factors affect the completion of your commission.A full refund will be given if I am unable to complete the commission.After finishing a commission, I will only accept minor changes to the work, such as small colors/mistakes.
If I make a mistake/error in the character design, accessories or any other elements in the provided reference, I will change it with no additional cost.

cancelling/refunding policy

I have the right to cancel and refund the commission money at any given time.You do not have the right to cancel/demand for a refund from the artist in any way after payment is received.If payment has not yet been sent, the commissioner has the right to cancel the commission.You will receive a full refund if the work has not been started. If it is cancelled during progress, the amount that will be refunded will be decided on a case-by-case basis and up to the artist's decision.You will not be refunded for completed/almost completed work.

commission details

NOTE: Any ill/offensive behavior will result in cancelling the commission.

I Can Draw:

  • Fan art

  • Original characters

  • Chibi commissions can be real-life people, note that a clear photo reference is required.

I Will Not Draw:

  • 18+ works/explicit NSFW

  • Animals (With exception to chibi commissioning)

  • Monsters

  • Realism

  • In other artists' art styles

  • Robots/mecha/armor (minimal is acceptable)

  • Hardcore blood/gore (blood splatters & similar are acceptable)

  • Political themes and any hateful content such as racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.

Ask For Clarification Regarding:

  • Furries

  • Mild NSFW/suggestive art

  • Extremely detailed/complicated clothing/character designs (If you're thinking about characters from Genshin Impact/Honkai Star Rail, I accept them)
